“UFO SPIRAL IN THE SKY SEEN AND HEARD ACROSS WESTERN CANADA”
Viral marketing. Dreamcast 2. Blah blah blah. Good god, we’re even bored of listening to our own predictable internal monologue. How much longer must we endure this… this… this LIFE?
Found here and sent in by a “Bitmupp”.

Happening again then, huh?

It isn’t even the right type of spiral. To say I’m disappointed would be more or less accurate.

I prefer UFO stories that involve anal probing.

Times must be near. Where can we preorder the Dreamcast 2 already ?

I feel I ought to confess something.
I bought a Sony games console at the weekend.
Sorry.
In my defence, it was a ‘phat’ psp and was only a fiver at a car boot sale.
Promptly hacked it to run homebrew, what do people recommend other than the usual ‘fill a memory card with SCUMMvm and Lucasarts isos (I still own the original disks so I think that’s ok(?))?

I bought the second type (Slim? Can’t even remember and looking at it doesn’t help as I don’t know what the alternative looks like) of PSP purely to hack it. It was actually pre-hacked off Ebay. A lot of nudge-nudge, wink-winking went on as you can’t advertise hacked stuff on Ebay.
As for what to do with it, my imagination stretched as far as emulators for the usual suspects. Beat Super Metroid on it. Ended up using it mainly as an mp3 player. Then stopped doing that as it’s silly. Then didn’t turn it on ever again. That is life-cycle of a PSP. If you already have an mp3 player, then knock about 2 years off.
OutRun 2006 is on it and if you have the processor running at 333mhz it runs really well.
Basically, I have literally no idea why the hell I thought I wanted it.

pssh it’s just SEGA blowing their budget again on over lavish publicitiy stunts for next to nothing in return.
Oh and Hi :D

Dick’s right – Outrun 2 at 333mhz is a sight to behold.
I used to use my PSP exclusively for Streets of Rage 2 when I was travelling in the car or on the train, and that’s about it. Sometimes if I got bored of that I’d play Golden Axe 2 or maybe something like Revenge of Shinobi if I was in the mood to fail miserably at something. But now I have my own car so I’m less inclined to sit in the back and be driven around.
So my PSP’s now in the drawer next to my DS. I think they keep each other company, or maybe they’re playing a portable version of the Great Console War or comparing achievements.
But it’s probably the best way to play Megadrive games on the go. Also, I’d recommend doing (or finding someone to do) the dpad/button mod which involves sticking bits of plastic under the dpad and buttons to make them more responsive. I did it and the difference is immense. It’s definitely a must-do mod if you have a fat PSP. I’d also recommend buying one of those MD-looking dpad stick-on covers. That, combined with the button mod and an MD emulator, is about as close to a portable MD as you can get without strapping one to your back. Who needs a Nomad?
p.s. replace MD/Megadrive with the console of your choice (assuming it’s emulated) .

Who are you kidding with this Dreamcast 2 nonsense? That’s clearly a Saturn 2 logo.
