SEGA SUPERSTARS TENNIS MONTH: THE CARING GAME THAT PUTS THE NEEDS OF THE PLAYER FIRST
After each mission, you have the option to replay it or return to the main menu screen. Which option will YOU choose?!
Another demolition complete. But do we REALLY want to go back to the mission select screen? Or have we just pressed that button by mistake?
Just in case you change your mind, the game kindly asks you if you are sure. Superstars Tennis cares for you, like no one else ever will.

gotta say, that ‘controller type D’ embargo comment had me pissing myself with laughter in a place where such behaviour is not well advised.

I see you confounded the cheaters by not going with the auto-save option screen!
Anyone else caught cheating should be permanently banned from SEGA SUPERSTARS TENNIS MONTH.

I can’t decide if I like the DS version or not. Beat vs Tails made me the happiest boy in the world.

Although controversially they have the Are you sure? ‘Yes’ answer as the one default highlighted. Imagine if you accidentally go to return to mission select and then accidentally press the button again! Disaster! Progress wasted. It should always be on ‘No’ by default.

If you accidentally press the button twice you’re an idiot.
Having ‘Yes’ as the default means that if you actually want to go back to the mission select screen you can do so easily and without arsing around changing it from ‘No’. What you suggest would be really fucking annoying after a while, and an example of terrible interface design.

Steve, do you work for Sumo?
Would you like to read my George Stobbart/Tails story?

Oh wow, is that Pudding AND Gum there? I was impressed enough that Ulala and Beat made an appearance!

Steve,
I’d argue that having your suggestion would be terrible interface design. The “are you sure” type messages aren’t read by most people, they just press by default, so the default behaviour should be to not make any change, in this case not exit the game. The player needs to be forced to make a decision of they want to exit.
