STOP THE PRESS! SONY TURNS THINGS AROUND!
Jesus CHRIST. You can get a copy of F1 Championship Edition and a SIXAXIS controller TOGETHER in the same package now? Sony is SAVED. This is going to recoup those development billions over the coming weekend.
Utterly. Sensationally. Staggeringly. Poor. Sony, you ought to be embarrassed about this.
Embarrassed and genuinely ashamed. This is an insult in product form.

Quite the massive launch party in SF, California:

I haven’t seen a turn out like that since, well, Paris in March of 2007.

Sony has to get rid of the Sixaxis pieces of shit somehow. It’s either this or a Nevada landfill.

Does Sony think that the customers that have bought its cruddy console, not actually have any pads to play with?
They’ll be packaging power cables along with killzone 2 when it comes out….handy for strangling yourself so you don’t have to endure any more rubbish.

Actually, I still think F1:CE is the best game out on the PS3, but is this a UK bundle? I thought only the Japanese version had the Ferrari on the front, whereas the other regions have the Renault (it’s for 2006 season…).

Roddie, I didn’t investigate it that thoroughly if I’m being honest.
Even if this bundle was just for “developing markets” it’d still be the worst example of stock-clearing in history.

Apparently the incompetent cash burners at Sony Europe have cooked up this delightful bundle for their loyal customers who buy anything with the Sony name on it.

They’ll no doubt sell two of these per transaction. Most customers will buy one for themselves and one to flog off on ebay once demand has reached fever pitch after stores burn through their initial allocation. Canny collectors will buy one to play and one to shrink-wrap and squirrel away in their hoards.

What’s wrong with getting a 1st-party PCB & a coaster to boot?
