DREAMCAST LOGO ON QUIRKY FOREIGN-LANGUAGE CUP, CUP ON MEGA DRIVE II, SONIC 2 INSERTED
The sender of this photograph wishes to remain anonymous, presumably because he’s the sort of JOHNNY COME-LATELY bandwagon-jumper that only got into gaming when SEGA released the redesigned and cheaper Mega Drive II.
“Here’s a cup I found. It has those Dreamcast swirlies that you like. Here it is sitting atop and next to several SEGA consoles. I couldn’t be arsed to come up with captions though. Enjoy the blurry photographs. Oh and it says happy birthday in case anyone wonders. Cheers. I wish to remain anonymous, sir!” – XXXX XXXXX.
OTHER PHOTOS?
They were all a bit blurry. EXIF data shows a Sanyo Xacti E7 was used to take them, which also explains the anonymity request.

You just put the photos and we’ll decide what’s blurry from now on.
OK?

I hate you Zorg. I thought you were done with this type of update. You deserve to be ramshackled.

Ramshackled? That’s a popular pastime here in Wales!

No red buttons means it’s a Genesis II, doesn’t it? My MDII had red buttons.

Fuck off Zorg

Not the kind of Sonic 2 insertion I was hoping for.

Looks like hebrew script to me. I bet if we looked hard enough in the old testament we could find references to the sega messiah and a warning of the terrible plague 3D sonic games would unleash upon the earth.

All we need now is for Bilal to write ten thousand fuckin words on this and my insomnia would be totally cured.
The golden age of UK:R (7th-12 Jan 2009) is well and truly over.

Sonic 2 was one of the shitter Sonic games ever made, yet for some reason ‘fans’ seem to love it. The best two games were Sonic and Sonic and Knuckles. The level design on Sonic 2 was all over the place. The was no consistency in the artwork. It was like some fans of Sonic had been given a lot of money to make their own version, but they had a fight and there was no one to say, “Hey guys, settle down, cut this level, it doesn’t fit with the others”. Which I believe is exactly what happened, fucking Americans. They even wanted to put MORE levels in! No one wants to play Sonic for that fucking long, it’s about speed, not variation. The next Sonic game should be no more than six levels long with a boss fight at the end, (but only if Robotnik has not given up trying to defeat Sonic). If he has then Sonic finishes when he gets to level six when he realises Robotnik is not around any more.
This guy’s? Genesis II? seems in good condition, not too much dust, a few ‘spots’. But the game must be difficult to play WITHOUT THE CONTROLLERS INSERTED! Don’t patronise us ANONYMOUS, if you’re only pretending you’re playing Sonic games then you might as well have your birthday mug sitting on Sonic Unleashed.

Sonic 2 was a great game. The levels were fun as hell. Its background music lives in my head to this very day and, for some odd reason, I don’t particularly care whether the artwork meshed from level to level.
Welcome to the world of games-as-art, guys. “Oooh this level was bounce-lit, that last one was way too gritty and harsh! I find it hard to buy Tails’ close relationship with Sonic considering we didn’t get a bit of exposition…and don’t even get me started on Robotnik’s laughable motives!”

Yes, but none of that changes the fact that Sonic 2 pales in comparison to Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD.

I’m glad Sony fanboys got bored of coming here, because the above posts are fucking retarded.

Yes, but none of that changes the fact that Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD pales in comparison to any Mario game ever made.

Yeah the artwork was all over the place. Since when has a hedgehog ever been bigger than a fox?

Is it just me that can’t actually see these supposed Dreamcast swirls?
January 16th, 2009 on 2:19 pm
Can just make the one out at the bottom of the cup, between the yellow and red faces.

is that a wank towel on the sofa?

Zorg… If I draw a swirl on the end of my cock & send you the photo, will you show it? You could call it Sega's new guerrilla marketing campaign for Dreamcast II (although, considering the state of my cock, viral marketing may be more appropriate). If you don't want to show it, would you just want me to send it anyway, for personal use?

“Can just make the one out at the bottom of the cup, between the yellow and red faces.”
Bah. That looks more like an artistic representation of a little coiled blue turd than it does the Dreamcast logo.
