PSP LIE WATCH: WARNING! FAKE SCREENSHOTS OF “GRAN TURISMO” ARE BEING CIRCULATED
A batch of screenshots purporting to be of “Gran Turismo” on PSP are in circulation. Please don’t be fooled. A man could be tricked into buying a PSP on the strength of fake claims about Gran Turismo. Imagine that.
The fake screenshots look like this. A person or persons pretending to be “Sony” is sending the above images out to web sites and blogs. Even the mighty Kotaku has been taken in by the scam.
The actual game looks more like this, and probably even a bit worse on your fucked up old screen with all the scratches on it from where it’s been slopping about in your little leather school satchel for the last four years. Be vigilant.

It’s even more damning for Kotaku considering they already published the “real” screenshots a few weeks back.

I can’t wait to guide an accurately-rendered Peugeot hatchback around a featureless grey loop for hours on end. WOO PSP WOO.

That’s what it WILL look like. Our hardware is so superior your eyes need to adjust to the quality. You need to get with the plan people. You’re going to look pretty foolish in the years ahead if you don’t fill your home with happy happy Sony products.

Bleemcast version looks better.

Kotaku “journalists” never cease to amaze me. First with their inability to spell five consecutive words correctly, and now with these “screenshots”. This is sad, really sad.
Thank God for UKR’s lie watch. Amen!

@16bitman: Really? I always get the impression Kotaku’s journalists are dumbing down their output as a shameless measure to pander to the general gaming concensus. I’m under the impression that could do a lot better if they weren’t concerned with ‘shifting internet units’ aka ad revenues. At least in terms of serious debate and on-screen text anyway. I don’t pay much attention to grammar and punctuation as mine are both pretty dire.

Let’s be honest though – it still doesn’t look that bad considering it’s on a handheld. Shit, I’m still playing GT Championship on the GBA and it looks a billion times better than that pile of horse manure.

I have to admit, this video below looks closer to the first picture than the second:

I still wouldn’t want to play a game like this on a handheld though. And it’s the same damn track from GT1.

Glenda Jackson shot dead outside her brother Samuel L. Jackson’s house and you’re posting things like THIS?!

Never mind all that, the king of pop is dead. D’you reckon there will be any reductions on his massive kiddie-fiddlin’-accessory* game collection? (as posted on this site)
* allegedly (thats what they say on Have I Got News For You when they tell the truth, right?)

Hee Hee Shamone, Oww,
Oww, really Oww this hurts so bad, my arms tingling, teeto, where are you teeto

The worst thing about that video is how frustratingly poor the person playing is. Why release a video of some donk who doesn’t understand that the first best idea is to stay on the black stuff?
I reckon that looks pretty impressive. Well done Kaz I hope you’re FUCKING HAPPY NOW. I’m off to gouge out my eyes with a spoon :(

Yeah, even when there’s a BIG FUCKING BLUE DOTTED LINE in the road, he can’t follow it for more than half a second. My theory? He’s controlling the nub with his dick and the buttons with his right ear.
And I won’t believe anything about that game until I hold it in my own three hands. I bet the loading times, even from a memory stick, will make baby Jesus cry.

The reason this game is so delayed is that it took them time to add in racing wheel support for the psp.
