“SCHWEINE PARTY”
Laugh? Cry? Become a vegetarian and move to a bit of the planet that is yet to be TARNISHED by the evil of video games? Start hurting people just for the fun of it as the world is clearly ruined already anyway?
Days since last played a video game – 92.

It’s the rare German alternate cover. I’m collecting the set.

I think this game looks cynical (and shite) enough to be deserving of two ‘What Is Becoming of Gaming?’ type posts. In fact I’m looking forward to a third in a month or so.
And the fella in the red shirt won’t be allowed to compete with that ring in his nose. What if it gets hooked on a trident? Raw pork scratchings hanging off his face, that’s what.

There’s a hyphen missing in the middle. Should be “Schweine-Party”.

That looks about as much fun as being chased through the park by purple aki.

I prefer a good old fashioned German Scheiße Partei, “essen meine scheiße, bitch” and all that.

I reckon it’s spiteful, vindictive ‘revenge’ from Nintendo. They made some shit-hot games for the N64, but it was passed over for the Playstation and its hordes of identikit and glitchy 3D – Wipeout, Tekken etc. The Gamecube also had some great games, better than the generic bollocks on the PS2, but it performed even worse than the N64. Hurt and angry, somewhere in Nintendo HQ they thought; “Right, people want watered-down party games more than innovation do they?! Fine, that’s what we’ll give them!” And boy have they delivered on that promise with the Wii. And yet, despite the odd sales blip, it’s still selling more than everyone else… this of course makes it Sony’s fault for dumbing gaming down in the first place I guess…

Me in the 90s: “When I grow up, I bet computer games are going to be effing brilliant! I can hardly wait!”
Me now: “Computer games these days are shit. I wish things were as good as they used to be when I was younger.”

There don’t appear to be any female pigs. So this is a sausage fest in addition to a “Schweine Party.”

I bet if the Wii was released in 1993, we’d be seeing a Schindler’s List Party, but since that was the 16-bit era, we’d be stuck with Super Schindler’s List.
