LAUGHING WITH SONY, NOT AT SONY
It’s pretty bad when Sony has to sneak BRAVIA adverts into its copyright documentation, for the benefit of people in the copyright approval office who might be thinking about buying a new TV.
Image emailed in by Glen of the screen photography update series. Nice to know he’s still out there and alive. Some facts about what this rubbish new thing of Sony’s is are available here, once you’ve cleared the tears of laughter from your own eyes.

Interesting how they chose to display with a big flatscreen whereas Nintendo just can’t be arsed with all the HD nonsense and just showed their rocking horse/sybian sextoy connected to any old ‘spare bedroom’ crt.
Also, Nintendo showed their target demographic was either demonic children or strange stunted men with male pattern baldness (that’d be me then), whereas Sony have obviously decided their target demographic is that bloke from hea’rs’ay’ (wherever they stuck the errant apostrophe) who looked like Shrek.
Is he laughing because he’s mounted the tv at such a poor viewing angle from his chair? Surely he must be looking at the back of the screen from that angle?

According to the diagram a “laugh” and a “smile” were detected at 1.05pm while watching Channel 4. As we all know, Channel 4 is a creative wasteland, especially during daytime telly.
Clearly the Cell is incapable of detecting emotions correctly or attributing them to the right source. In this case the person was clearly laughing at the PS3 and its continuing lack of compelling games and ludicrous price point.
Also, what happens when “masturbation detected” occurs?

Bulk Slash – good point, well spotted. I’d be interested in seeing if it’s capable of detecting a laugh over an entire evening of bbc three. I’ve failed thus far.

The PS3 is as big as that mans armchair! Sony should really think about a lite version. Or just sell it with cushions.
I think that man is laughing at the lastest episode of Hollyoaks were they try and take a serious matter like eating disorders or self harm into a meaningful storyline and then trivialise it but we won’t notice cause were to busy staring at tits.
On a side note I’m playing Shining Force EXA. Thank you sega for fucking up yet again.

I’m quite sure they included the Bravia because they know people scour the patent applications these days and did it for a laugh. Free advertising. Here it is, on someone’s blog/public breakdown for all of us to look at.
It worked.

I believe that the way this device works is that it reads your mind and then displays how you feel about the PS3 ownership experience on the screen.

Are you sure the patent isn’t for the new Self-Applicating Anal Sex device as shown on the Bravia TV?
Are Sony diverging into the sex toy market now?

They’ve accidentally given away the patent for the PS4 on the screen as well.

Not only a Bravia Widescreen HD telly, but they also bothered to accurately depict the true Sony HD experience: a low-def picture, borders at each side of the screen, and the familiar feeling of being bum-raped by a corporate machine.

I’m kind of aroused by the whole thing but I’d really like to know what that guy is pointing and laughing at so much.

They are going to use this to kill everyone.
Detect that they are laughing, use stronger amusement generation with same algorithm. Detect they are laughing more, turn it up more. Eventually you’re incapacitated and the seeds in the PS3 are automatically germinated. Within days the plants will have poked out from the grilles.
What?
