PSP LIE WATCH: NEW DATA REGARDING “GRAN TURISMO”
Finally. Finally we see the blotchy hell that is the reality of the in-game action. You will never win, Sony. Not while human beings still have the ability to remember things you said more than seven days ago.
Behold… the MESH of SHAME!
The game.
What was previously advertised as being the game, but is actually NOT the game or even ANYTHING LIKE the game. From VG247 and that horrible place.

Did anybody seriously expect it to look in any way different to how it does?

Gotta love the way the grass textures repeat about as much as on the background to this very site (and Outrun on the c64, come to think of it)
And thinking of C64 outrun, this looks about as blocky…

From Destructoid –
“I’ve been revved up (see what I did there?) for Gran Turismo PSP ever since I got some hands-on time at E3 earlier this year. I guess that the time from when the game was first announced to the time I first got to play it served as one long tease. But now that I’ve tried it, I know it’s going to be a full, robust console-style racer, and I can’t wait to have it in my pocket.”
Why can’t you write like that Zorg? And then from their comments –
“Man this game looks great.”
“awesome!!”
Now I don’t know who to believe.

Apparently Sega have been helping out with the war effort by making the PS3 version of Bayonetta look like shit compared to the 360 version.

I’m so glad that you all despise that site as much as I do. I thought I was the only one who noticed how terrible the writing on it is. (This includes the ‘community blogs’ and the ‘editors’)

I literally did a double take when that one with the monocle turned up at a games press event – wearing the monocle and “in character” :(

Zorg, you should turn up in character. But you’d get thrown out the moment you said anything.
You’d need to come up with a Zorg costume too. It’s already feeling like too much effort.
The only thing I know about Destructoid is from their rubbish videos they get on gametrailers.com, which apart from casually using the word ‘fuck’ every couple of seconds to appear grown up and edgy, seems to be aimed at children 5 and under. Also troubling is the relationship between the 2 main characters. Are they married or brother and sister or both?

There was a point where I thought Destructoid was actually worth reading, as I enjoyed the off-beat nature of some of the writers. However, I stopped visiting the site almost entirely due to Jim Sterling, whose incessant whining and attempts to be clever made me want to punch my monitor.

FYI: Jim Sterling == the monocle one.
I’ve know people that know him. Apparently he’s a complete loser. Not like us though, eh?

Can I edit that? I’d rather have put “is” than “==”

Meh. Gran Turismo lost all appeal to me long ago. Forza Motorsport 3 is where it’s going to be at.
