DREAM STILL ALIVE AND WELL IN ARGENTINA
A man got in touch. He said in return for us linking to some sort of flash gaming site he does, he could provide us with some photographs he took of SEGA products currently on sale in Argentina.
We said yes to that.
What on earth is a DYNACOM? A fake SEGA portable that runs Mega Drive carts? Looking it up would ruin the exciting mystery.
You can also buy official ones from new. Looks like SEGA is still trying to empty out various warehouses of unsold consoles it made back during the glory fortnight.

I don’t know what I would do if I saw a boxed Genesis Model 2 on a shelf in the local Five-and-Dime. I guess I would feel obligated to buy them all and start handing them out around play grounds around my town to teach the “youngins” what real games are……..

Forgot to say, they were selling brand new Megadrives at the GAME branch in Canterbury before Christmas. I think they were £40 with Sonic 2. Not sure if they were doing this nation wide.

I think if you hang around playgrounds handing out free games consoles, Mr Plod might decide to put you on the sex offenders register… assuming the kids don’t knife you and steal your wallet to buy gangsta games starring Fiddy Cent.

Surely it’s either ‘Fiddy’ or ‘Mr. Cent’? This mixture of the familiar and the formal is… it’s just… well, I can’t handle it, that’s all. It gives me the willies.
I give them back, though. Don’t have a use for ’em.

so……is it a nomad?

The kids sure do love that Fiddy Cent gentleman. What a great role model to have. The futures getting brighter by the second….I better put on my shades.

Maybe I’ll ask that guy where’s that place with the brand new Genesis, if it’s in Buenos Aires I might even go and re-buy it. Although I just got myself a Dreamcast and have to import a buttload of games.

The only problem is that most of these re-issue Sega consoles are slightly less sexy than my hairy and pimply arse (apart from the one that looks like a MD2, obviously). A shame really, because Sega used to excel at making consoles so good looking that you’d wished they’d added a penis input. Don’t look at me all weird! All right, I’m not really serious about that last point, but the point still stands. Sega consoles looked good, unlike those Blaze atrocities.

Hello! I’m from Argentina.
You could get those Genesis in every toy store, but those are all clones.
Even in the ’90s the real ones were scarce, and clones dominated the scene. Never knew why Tec Toy didn’t distributed their products here.
