EMERGENCY WEEKEND UPDATE: TWIN-SEATER DAYTONA USA ARCADE MACHINE FOR £750
REASON FOR SALE: “My reason for sale is that I don’t use it much nowadays to be honest, and the space it takes up in my garage would be better used in other ways now. I never thought I’d sell it which is why I spent so much money and so many hours making it this nice, but things change”
That is not a good enough reason. How can you have one, then let it go? What’s better to do in a garage than play Daytona USA for free? The only thing we can think of is starting up your own methamphetamine factory.
There are still three days to go on the auction. We expect an email and photographic report from the eventual buyer.

Oh boy… I would love to have one of those at home. I can’t even imagine all the taxes I would have to pay to bring this baby to Brazil.

Would be very very cool, but unfortunately I think I could currently afford about 1/10th of the current starting price.
Maybe we should all club together and buy it time-share style?

As if anyone who buys this would have an actual ‘friend’ to race against

I’m not sure if replacing stock parts with custom ones should increase the value of the cabinet or not. I would have thought a system as close to factory spec as possible would be more valuable.
I suppose you don’t have to worry about leaving a nasty sweat mark on the plastic with those fabric seats…

6 comments? Only 6 comments? On this? Have I come to the right UK Resistance?

Actually really only 5 comments (including yours) if you discount the twitter spam, so worse than you make out.
So, pedantry and an inability to count, is that better?

As much as I want this does anybody actually have room in their house for this apart from millionaires and super villains who live in hollowed out volcanoes? Maybe he should just sell a key to his garage so that the buyer can have 24/7 access to the game and snacks from his fridge.

I think I’m just bitter that I’ve not got space for it myself…
March 30th, 2010 on 2:06 pm
I suppose I could *make* space for it. But i’ve got to keep those dead hookers somewhere..

Ok, I’ll make a comment to make Birdmode happy.
It wouldn’t fit in my bedroom at my dad’s house so I guess I won’t be buying it.

It’s really annoying that I can afford to buy it but I have no space at all to store it.

I know precisely what you mean, mcsleeve. That’s the exact reason I never started collecting fabergé eggs – where can you keep them?
