THAT MAN HAS SCANNED IN ANOTHER PAGE FROM ‘RAZE’ MAGAZINE, FEATURING SEGA LCD GAMES
The deal seems to be that the bloke who runs this shop is drip-feeding us interesting articles from a very old games magazine, in return for a link to his shop. He seems to think a link on UKR will make him a wealthy man. He will soon find out otherwise.
And we don’t remember a magazine called Raze. We were only into ACE in 1990.
“Here’s a little one you might like. And at only £24.99 they were a real bargain! This is from Raze magazine in 1990, if you remember that mag” – You Likee.

I’ve still got that Shark Attack toy, it’s great (i.e. it’s not, it’s a bit shit really, but brings back happy memories)
I’ve never heard of Raze magazine either, I was an ardent Zzap! reader back then, with occasional dabbling in CU (mainly for the early Jamie Hewlett stuff). Just 12 issues between 1990-1991 by the looks of it; maybe choosing a name similar to Razzle to maybe get teenagers to read it by accident wasn’t a great idea?
Would be interested in more scans if he has any.
Raze/Razzle, not bothered which.

Bugger. I wish i kept some of my Australian Hyper mags so I could can a few pages of them in. They loved and hyped the DC so much (even before it was cool to love and hype the DC)…..

I had an SUPER HANG ON version. Always wanted the After Burner one, but I bet that the game itself would not change that much. Just up and down. Left and right.

@GigerPunk
More ‘fun’ from Raze to follow shortly. Will get the scanner warmed up again this week and see if I can persuade it to scan at more than 60dpi next time.

If I remember rightly, Raze was a short-lived rebranding of Newsfield’s The Games Machine which shifted the focus away from 8- and 16-bit home computers and towards consoles.
PS. ACE and its stupid Predicted Interest Curve graphs and marks out of 1000 can FUCK RIGHT OFF.

My dad worked at the company that printed ACE, so I used to get it for free.
If my dad worked at the company that printed Horse & Hound instead, life might have turned out dramatically different.

Could be worse, just think how much different life could’ve been if the company printed Razzle.
