TJ DAVIS & RICHARD JACQUES – DIAMONDS IN THE SKY
We haven’t copied & pasted the rest of the headline, which says this was actually recorded at a fan festival in 2008. Let’s pretend we filmed this ourselves last Thursday at a private event.
Here’s a video we filmed ourselves at a private event last Thursday. What happened after is too rude to show.
“As Sonic 134567898 observes, ‘T.J. Davis is such a good singer that her singing this will make you cry’. I feel a bit sick. Thanks. Bye” – James.

I’ll pay good money to anyone who leaks footage of what happened after last Thursday’s event. Especially if there’s some Zorg on Jacques action (or vice versa). If there are no pictures I might be able to rub one out from a written description if it’s got lots of detail.

I don’t like Richard Jax. He doesn’t represent classic Sega music. He represents the period directly after classic Sega music when he took over and made it shit. Classic Sega music is made in Japan by Japanese people. Possibly just one person, the one that did Daytona and stuff for Shemue. And whoever did Sega Rally. And the guy that Did NiGHTS/PSO.

Dick Socrates, you are 100% correct. But you have to admit Sonic R’s music was incredible.
YOU HAVE TO! >:|
INCREDIBLE!

Sonic R’s music has only ironic value.

Sonic R’s music was very well produced cheese, and suited the game very well!
And Dick, Shen Mue was the same period as Jacques! (Don’t forget he did Headhunter around that time)
Having said that I do prefer Afterburner, Sega Rally and Daytona. Virtua Fighter was class, too, and NiGHTS (the correct way to spell it) and Sonic CD of course..

I’m not sure I get these events – or whatever it is. I mean is it a gathering of people who are fans of Sonic R? Is it a gathering of people who like the Saturn and want to hear Saturn music?
I mean obviously I can understand liking Sonic R and its music, but to set up an “event” for it? How do they even go about setting such a thing up? Where do they advertise? Is it just in the local paper with “Sonic R event with music from Sonic R” along side some church fund raising evening?

I don’t understand the Richard Jacque love, either. I mean, the music for MSR was pretty cool but did he write the Space Harrier theme? Or the Sonic 2 soundtrack? The Streets of Rage games? Golden Axe? Space Channel 5? Because those are all the things that spring to mind when I think of amazing Sega music. I could go on but I won’t.
It must be down to Zorg’s personal lust for the man.

What I find particularly worrying is I always thought this was where all the Sega-obsessed hardcore types hung out and now it seems there’s an even more extreme secretive offshoot or splinter cell that the UK:R regulars know nothing about, that meet up and get Richard Jacques to play tunes to them live. Honestly, it’s like discovering that not only is there an illuminati but the illuminati is controlled by another echelon higher up…

The doors are locked, Jacques has a gun pointed at his head just out of shot and he has soiled himself several times during the last 35 hours of continuous keyboard playing.
The event is still ongoing, so if anyone recognises the location, please call Nottingham Police’s incident hotline *immediately*.
