SOME MEN WILL BE SITTING AROUND ON A FASHIONABLE SOFA AGREEING WITH EACH OTHER THAT HALO IS QUITE GOOD
The makers of Gameface, which we may have been quite mean about a year or two ago and are a bit scared to check, are doing a whole TV channel about games. From here.
“So, Michael, tell us about this new downloadable map pack for…” *SWITCHES TO BABESTATION 2 EVEN THOUGH IT’S THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY AND THEY’LL HAVE ALL THEIR CLOTHES ON*

Unless they’re prepared to shat out content with Dave “Animal” Perry in it then it’s worthless.

Yes Zorg. You DID say some very mean things about Gameface. Although to be fair you were right.
The internet needs more pasty wankers talking about games like a skin-cancer patient needs a sunbed.

Oh god. I didn’t realise that this will actually be on tv.
These things NEVER work on tv, and certainly not as a channel. It’ll just end up being a platform for adverts that nobody watches.
Just like ITV.

Anyone remember that really shit game channel from about ten years ago? The one that confused everybody by being half in English and half in Italian in such a way that it became obvious that it was being filmed in italy but they had to make it mostly in English for “marketing reasons” … anyway.. umm they liked the dreamcast, really really liked it, so at least one media outlet noticed it back in the day… albeit a shit one that couldnt speak english.

Urgh, I’d forgotten how ugly that Gameface bint was.
X.League failed, so I don’t see why this’ll be any better.

rolan – Game Network? That was run by the same company that now owns formerly-interesting-but-not-anymore publisher 505 Games, but they sold it off to a UK company who introduced two hours of slappers on phones at night – that proved to be the most popular (or at least the most lucrative) thing on there, and was gradually expanded until it took over the entire channel and eventually a few more, inspiring a whole host of copycats along the way. its name? Babestation. true story.

The MTV of video games? It’s like those porn sites that promise to be “the Facebook of porn”.
So if this channel is the MTV of video games, does that mean it’s out of touch, out of date and no-one watches it?

I’ve just spent the past 2 hours reading about William Shatner’s toupĂ©e. Thanks a lot, Zorg.

That man has reset the bar regarding how much detail you can go into about mundane things.

XLeague didn’t do too badly, the shows that Wez and I made for the channel were raking in 70,000 – 100,000 views an episode. Reviewmageddon was their most viewed show.
The downside was them over focusing on “eSports”. We told them from day one they should be a gaming channel rather than an eSports channel, It’s a niche within a niche. But they saw a non-existent profit in competitive gaming.
Shame really as they were awesome to work for!
