THE SEGA PARK IN BRIGHTON IS LOOKING A BIT RUN DOWN
A man passed the Sega Park in Brighton seafront and thought of us. The place had two signs, one of which had the ‘G’ in SEGA and ‘K’ in PARK stolen. This is his story:
“I passed the “Sega Park” in Brighton seafront and thought of you guys. The place has two signs, one of which the G in SEGA and K in PARK were stolen by chavs who ventured off Brighton pier. In side “SEGA PARK” there are no SEGA games, in fact there is only really Tekken, one of those gay dance games for Chinese people and about 40+ slot machines. The people that work there aren’t very pleasant. I’ll try and get some pics of the inside of the place next time I go there but it’s not very SEGA-y. Enjoy the pics!”

The guy that sent you that is a fucking liar. There’s two Virtua Tennis 2s, a House Of The Dead 3, 2 linked OutRun 2 SPs and very possibly one other Sega game in there that I can’t remember. I’ll go and check.

The one in Balisdon is in much better condiion, even though that’s also starting to get over-ridden with slot machines. At least still has it’s lovely Sonic carpet and Virtua Cop/Sega Rally wall art, along with plenty of Sega games.

Whatever happened to the ‘Sega World’ (could have the name wrong possibly..) in London? I cant remember much about it. I know there was a few shit ‘Rides’ there. Isnt it ‘Namco World’ or something now?… erm.. here’s a video of a PS3 crashing. bye.

Some of my mates have just moved to Brighton. I’m gonna go down in the next month or so to see em. One’s a photographer, so i’ll go and steal the rest of those letters to put in my bedroom and take some pictures of the robbery =]

I heard that Sega World is still alive in Florida. It’s a bit tatty and they too have lost their ‘G’ on the sign.
The real Ecco’s there though.

I once went to Sega World in Sydney a few years back. Dunno if it’s still there though.

My mate rememinded me that the other game there I was thinking of was Virtua Cop 3. He also managed to remember there’s a Virtua Striker and the token Jurassic Park shooter, no rundown arcade is complete without one! We might go on Saturday and take pictures of the broken Real Puncher: Sonic Blastman 2 and bizarre horse racing betting game.

There’s no Sega games because they’re all in Namco Station in London instead of the Namco games.
Sega World was crap anyway; there was ride called ‘The Beast in the Dark’ where you got in a carriage that went through a dark tunnel. Great.
There was a Michael Jackson simulator ride of some sort too but I’ve blocked that from my memory. Ah the good old days of the Trocadero, now it’s full of DDR ripoffs and broken sticker printers. Bring Back Alien War I say and let’s have a few more old biffers have heart attacks. Now That’s entertainment.
Actually watching a fat lass on the horie riding game was as entertaining as it was disturbing. She left some arse-sweat on the saddle.

How DARE you! This is my local SEGA palace of joy and I’ll have not a bad word said about it.
True, the staff could do with being a bit more on the blue-skies side, but HECK, this is where I first played Outrun 2 for crying out loud! It’s where I first raced along the Milky Way! It’s where I trained every week to be the best Virtua Cop in Virtua City! To think, one of the last remaining SEGA fortresses in the land being mocked by its only defender.
