SEGA RACING CLASSIC BULLET POINTS, AKA “WE WILL GO TO AN ARCADE FOR ONE FINAL TIME IN 2009”
This is what SEGA Racing Classic is, according to proper facts found by the legend.
“Sega Racing Classic is a revamped version of Sega’s smash hit Daytona USA, featuring the original tracks and heart pumping action with all new high definition graphics. The game runs on the Sega Ringwide hardware, with the stunning graphics displayed on a 32″ Widescreen LCD.
-32” Hi-Def LCD Widescreen
-1280 x 720 Resolution
-Force Feedback Steering
-Link up to 4 Cabinets
-Eye Catching Cabinet
-New Billboard Leader Display
-Color changing LED Cabinet lights
-Classic Gameplay
The only problem with this is SEGA calling its new arcade hardware “Ringwide”. How on earth did that decision get past the numerous layers of bureaucracy? WHY DID NO ONE SPEAK UP?
The cabinet image is hosted here. We’ve tried randomly changing it to different numbers to see if there are any proper screenshots, but nothing of interest comes up. If anyone fancies a little job for the rest of the evening, please, feel free. Looks like there’s 6000 to go through. We’ve done 6100 – 6130. Wouldn’t mind a go on 6127.
UPDATE: “Constable London” has covered off 2739 so don’t bother with that one.

RingWide
The RingWide is more basic than the RingEdge, and only has 8GB(Compact Flash) of storage, while RingEdge has a 4 times larger storage (Because of the use of the RAM Drive and SSD).
[edit] RingWide specifications
* CPU: Intel Celeron 440 (2.0 GHz)
* RAM: 1 GiB DDR2 SDRAM (PC-5300)
* GPU: ATI Radeon HD 2600 with 128 MiB GDDR3 SDRAM (Shader Model 4.0)
* Storage: 8GB CF
* Networking: Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T)
* OS: Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2009
* Other: 5.1 channel HD Audio, Sega ALL.NET online[31]
HAHAHAHAHAHAH Windows with a Celeron processor….
Still could be worse, at least they’ve stopped using a Gamecube in their arcade boxes.

If Sega don’t do a console conversion of this game then there really is no hope for them at all. Don’t get me wrong I love arcades, but I don’t love having to travel miles to get to the nearest one which probably won’t get this game anyway.

The Sega Racing Classic screens aren’t even full HD.
“Duh-d’doo-doo-duh-doo-duh-doo-duh-dooooooooooooo! Sega Racing Classssssic!”

Ohhh come on, like any of us haven’t already gone “ringwide” for SEGA over the years. Waiting for their glorious return to making good games and Dreamcast 2 (one day it will happen or there is no god)

It wouldn’t be the same without the classic music.
It would be a crime to go through Seaside Street Galaxy without hearing the biggest endorsement of the most worthy videogame campaign of all time.
Also, who wouldn’t want a game like this?

Drumper!

This wasn’t as fun as going through all 4203 teclast pages, but that drumper almost made up for it.
Almost.

If you look closely at the cab screen, it appears to be showing a Daytona USA CCE screen, lol.
