A MAN WANTS A FREE ADVERT FOR HIS VIDEO GAMES T-SHIRT WEB SITE
So we might as well give it to him, in the name of maintaining positive consumer relations – even though one of them’s about Mario and another one of them’s about Final Fantasy AND we don’t even make $0.02 each time you buy one.
“We are an upcoming video game t-shirt brand comprised of graphic designer game super geeks! Our t-shirts are 100% original, professionally designed and screen printed. Our t-shirts delve a little deeper than the thousands of others out there, we get the need for gamers to represent but also the need for subtlety.”
“I would grateful if you could feature us on UK:RESISTANCE, being a British based site I think it would sit well. I have attached a few examples of our shirts” – Dean.
Thanks, Dean. If by any chance you sell 1000 t-shirts today, can we have a cut to buy a cup of coffee and a sandwich with? Only a cheap sandwich, nothing fancy from Pret. An egg mayo from Greggs would be a huge treat.

The link you’ve put (http://www.ukresistance.co.uk/2010/02/a-man-wants-a-free-advert-for-his-video-games-t-shirt-web-site/www.GamerPrint.co.uk) doesn’t work.
Therefore, I shall be boycotting the site.
(Although I quite like the Rapture one, I couldn’t buy it anyway as I feel that no-one in Rapture (if they existed) would wear a t-shirt anyway, thus ruining my whole suspension of disbelief)
Where do they stand on copyright infringement and unauthorised use of licensed names/characters? Probably best not to worry about it I’d guess, as long as they don’t get listed on any major games sites they should be fine. Oh, no, hang on…No, nope, they should probably still be ok.
Can I hawk some of my steampunk jewellery on here too? How about some free range eggs?

HAHA YES WE MAKE SUBTLE GAME SHIRT DESIGNS
*designs silhouette of cloud holding a big sword and katakana*

These shirts are garbage.

I can only dream of an Egg Mayo sandwich from Greggs.

Seriously? You are just an ad-space for whoever asks for it now?
WAY TO COPY SEGAS BUSINESS MODEL!!!
Can i have a review of my Xbox Indie platformer with the blue skies now please? Or do I need to suck a cock first?

An egg mayo and an ice tea, it’s colder.
February 22nd, 2010 on 12:31 pm
That’d be that Adventures Of Sid, yeah?
I can do you a review here – was ok, I guess, kinda reminded me of Superfrog on the Amiga (which is meant to be a good thing, btw) but got a bit fed up of not being able to go back to explore further, when I died it kept dumping me back by a bit of water that I kept falling into and I eventually got bored. Kinda old-school frustrating but less so than Braid. Ok for 200-odd points though.
Here’s a tagline for you – “Not as much fun as Chime but almost half the price.”

Does the FFVII shirt come with eye liner and razor blades?
I’d like to suggest my idea for a Sega t-shirt to the company: a plain white shirt with nothing on it, to symbolise the creative void Sega currently exist in. :(

“we get the need for gamers to represent but also the need for subtlety.”
Translation = “You can still get laid wearing our T-shirts because girls won’t know what they mean. Don’t be like that fat fuck over there wearing the Optimus Prime T-shirt, buy our shirts!”
Well, “GamerPrint” I think I’ll pass. Your shirts are surprisingly reasonably priced, but I pretty much don’t care what my T-shirt communicates to the opposite sex anymore.

Hey maybe as a deal sweetner he could do you another run of the red Spiel Macht Frei t-shirts, I put mine in the wash with something dark and its gone all muggy. :(
February 22nd, 2010 on 1:36 pm
Why the hell would you want anything from Greggs other than a steak or chicken bake?
February 22nd, 2010 on 1:58 pm
Wow GigerPunk, that was the most positive review we have EVER had!!! We will quote you on the ‘box’ or of next game!!!!!!! and maybe we can get a t-shirt deal with said quotes on it!!!!
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
Anyway, time for a Greggs Sausage roll 4-pack.

I would never wear a t-shirt, they’re abominations of modern fashion anyway.
Then again those baggy trousers and baseball caps and whatnot are even worse.
February 22nd, 2010 on 3:54 pm
I agree about baggy trousers but you leave them t-shirts alone you totalitarian you!

How did you know I was wearing my Optimus Prime shirt today, marimo? Have you hacked my webcam and been spying on me? You should be aware I have an identical twin who wanks a lot while using my computer. We’re not totally identical though as I have a much larger penis.
February 22nd, 2010 on 4:18 pm
I have an Optimus Prime t-shirt that seemed a good idea in TK Maxxx :(
February 22nd, 2010 on 4:31 pm
Guilty of Decepticon t-shirt ownership meself. But, in mitigation, that was before the transformer movies came out.
February 22nd, 2010 on 4:54 pm
If there’s anything I hate more than Sony, it’s Michael Bay’s Transformers films.
February 22nd, 2010 on 5:43 pm
You mean I’ve been posting on a website all this time with a bunch of people that have Transformer tshirts? What next, Thundercats, Atari?
I only wear blank tshirts. The adspace on my torso isn’t free but neither can it be bought.
February 22nd, 2010 on 5:44 pm
Jesus, I didn’t think so many of you would be into Transformers. If it makes you feel any better, I have two Star Trek T-shirts, as well as a Ghostbusters, Pac-Man, Sonic the Hedgehog and Spider-Man T-shirt. Oh, and a Batman T-shirt that I’m wearing right now.
:(

It is tragic that even in the age of the internet nerds/geeks remain a persecuted minority. It’s a conspiracy by the fashion industry and its minions.
February 22nd, 2010 on 10:00 pm
I have a Batman logo t-shirt too, but it’s part of the standard uniform for goths so that’s no surprise.
No Sonic clothes, unfortunately(?) and in fact I think the only game-related apparel I have are a donkey kong country t-shirt and a killer instinct one given to me by a little independant games shop years ago before they became popular enough for them to want to sell them instead of giving them away as freebies (i.e. when said games were new).
I DO however have several pairs of Judge Dredd pants – Beat that for sadness (I know someone will).
And I’ve never really followed fashion so I could say I’ve never felt persecuted, more the reverse; in that I feel I’m taking the fight to them by refusing to wear what they want me to. Has to be a reason for having both Sisters of Mercy t-shirts and tweed jackets in my wardrobe, that’s pretty much the only explanation I can think of…
February 22nd, 2010 on 10:24 pm
Is “graphic designer game super geeks!” longhand for “cunts”?
February 22nd, 2010 on 10:26 pm
100% original? Not to be snippy or anything, but here are two other ‘Mario Brothers Plumbing Service’ t-shirts in existence:

Once, I threw a glass at a man wearing a Sonic t-shirt in a bar.
He wasn’t looking, and the glass was plastic (a sturdy one, though) to be fair, but it was one of the best moments of my life.
