We’re starting to live vicariously through Karl. He’s got a blog, can make games, and gets lucky when outside with seeing Dreamcast logos (below). Here’s his latest game. We wouldn’t really advise downloading it, but you can if you want to. It’s 1.5MB and here.

Couldn’t bear to go through the psychological ‘rinse cycle’ of writing a caption for each individual photograph.

A logo that’s “a bit” like the Dreamcast logo, also including a name that’s “a bit” like SEGA. Two things that are a bit like, but not actually anything like or to do with, SEGA.

Basically, here’s a random photograph.

“I was recently on holiday in Brazil and a picture of this shop seemed just the thing for the site. Yes, the Dreamcast logo from this health shop is slightly off, but it also nearly spells SEGA! There were lots of those ‘Segafredo’ coffee stalls there too, but I spared you the embarrassment of posting the same pics again.”

Seeing as we’re back in the spiral phase, here’s another nice sighting. Of more interest in this series of shots is this rare insight it gives us into how some human males exist in the year 2009. This update will hopefully be of some interest to future anthropologists. So it’s OK if it is of no interest to you NOW.

Future observers may ponder why, for example, have those three bottles been taped together?

THE DREAMCAST LOGO, THAT’S WHAT!

Spotted in the skies over Norway. “Bizarre spiral” and “computer generated” are relevant enough keywords to convince us it’s Dreamcast related. Possibly the Dreamcast coming back through time from an alternate future timeline where it ruled all and became self-aware and developed time travel. Something like that. It would make a better film than Terminator Salvation.

If this turns out to be viral marketing for “2012” this post will be retrospectively deleted, so don’t spend too much time on your comments.

“You’ve probably been sent this a million times this past hour but this is clearly proof that Sega is bringing back the Dreamcast in 2010 and has announced this by scaring the shit out of some Norwegians with an impressive publicity stunt. Since it’s from the Daily Mail website, I’d give it half an hour before Jan Moir accuses it of being “unnatural” and suggesting that’s why it died out quite quickly” – Chris.

And finally, a return to an alternate “Chris” who will be attempting to numb whatever parts of his body are still capable of feeling pain with this tonight. Well done, everyone. It’s nice to know we have at least NINE entire readers left.

A lot of the Dreamcast logos we’ve featured haven’t been that convincing. This one, however, is PERFECT. It even comes in Rubbish European Blue. It’s so good that we have even resized and uploaded the submitter’s other photo of the cafe chain called Segafredo – a depth so low we weren’t planning on featuring it until at least 2011.

“Here are a couple of photos I snapped whilst wandering aimlessly about the shops in ‘sunny’ Burnham-on-Sea last week. The towel has a vaguely Dreamcast-like swirl logo on it. Stitching was surprisingly good considering it was in a pound shop.”

The Dreamcast must’ve been huge in Cuba. It’s practically the country’s national symbol, if the inside of this hotel room is anything to go on.

All of them have the Dreamcast logo craftily hidden on them – so craftily, in fact, that you may need to study the pictures a while before finding the logos. We could really do with alternate photos taken with the flash, to see what it looks like with the flash. And a photo of the contents of the mini bar would’ve been nice, to add a bit of local colour and see what kind of Toblerones they have in Cuba.

But these pictures are still banal enough for us.
